This Submission has been provided by former National Service Education Sergeant, Peter Suna. The submission was written by Peter Stokes, an officer who served in TPNG from 1960-63 and 1968-70 for the Clarke Review of 2004.

This document provides a fresh perspective on some hardships suffered by Australian soldiers and officers in TPNG during the period 1951 to 1975. It will be of interest to all soldiers who served in those locations and also to those currently seeking eligibility for veterans entitlements.
