2017 ANZAC DAY COMMEMORATIONS
In this issue we focus on the very wide and well-attended representations of the PIB-NGIB-HQ-PIR Association at the commemorations in Sydney, Brisbane, Bomana War Cemetery (Port Moresby) Townsville and other towns. The Association can take much pride in this widespread participation, thanks to the ongoing commitment of many members in many places.

A NEW BOOK BY DR TRISTAN MOSS
Tristan Moss’s new book, ‘Guarding the Periphery’, will be published in July by Cambridge University Press. Tristan is well-known to many in the Association as a result of the contacts he made in the course of his research. Tristan is now a research member of the Official History Team at the Australian War Memorial.
The book deals with the history of the Australian Army in PNG from 1951 to 1975. As such, it should be of great interest to all members of the Association.
The assistance that many members gave to Tristan in his research is acknowledged in this work.
The details of ordering a copy of this book will be advertised to members as information becomes available.
